Many of us are looking for ways to boost our income in January. After an expensive month, many of us find January a long month. For many, it is due to the earlier pay date in December or new year resolutions to save money in January.
Whichever it may be for you, there are ways to quickly boost your income in January. Here are my top ways to boost our income, no matter when you start.
- Selling things you no longer need – Many of us have items in our house that are no longer needed. These could be gifts received or maybe some old items you no longer use. Rather than having these lying around, why not pocket some cash and clear some space at the same time. There are many places to sell these items such as eBay or Facebook Marketplace. Of course, there may be some outlay if you are posting such as postal packaging and postage. If you are purchasing these, make sure you account for some of the costs in your sale price so you are not out of pocket.
- Surveys – Now I know I have mentioned in the past I have not made lots of money from surveys, that doesn’t mean I discount it completely. This time of the year is perfect for making money via surveys as many of us can relax at home. You can keep an eye on surveys whilst pottering around.
- Matched betting – There is still plenty of sports events going on at the moment so now is a good time to look at matched betting. Take your time with this though, rushing will cause errors so take it at your pace. Here is my post on making money from it.
Now they are just some ways to boost your income in January. Alongside this, why not look at ways to cut your outgoings to help finances for 2021. Doing a simple audit of your finances is a great place to start. With many of us able to make little tweaks to our outgoings, savings are there. It doesn’t take too long either, freeing you up to keep making money and boost your income.
